Composite fillings

The alternative to the traditional silver mercury fillings. It's made of a mixture of quartz filler in resin. It functions the same as the traditional silver fillings. It prevents your cavity from further exposure and decay.

Here is what these 2 different treatments look like:

Some pros:

• No mercury, that could only be a good thing. :)
• You can't tell that there is a filling, it restores the natural appearance of the teeth.
• It restores most of the original strength of a decayed tooth, unlike a silver filling which actually weakens the tooth.
• Silver filings require more removal of the healthy tooth to put the filling in, composite fillings don't.

Some cons:

• Gets weakened with excessive alcohol consumption.
• It costs more than the silver mercury fillings,

We chose Zoom! because it's simply the most cost effective for our patient and us. It's a quick process and totally safe. If the color of your teeth has been annoying you, this will take care of that.
