We specialize in building the perfect fitting veneer. And we back up our quality with a 5 year guarantee.
What are Veneers?
They're wafer-thin shells of porcelain which bonds onto the front side of teeth to treat stained, chipped or misaligned teeth. This is a common procedure to improve one's smile, and probably the most cost effective way to do so.
Veneers are often referred to as "laminates" too. Veneers require very minimal removal of tooth structure and they are placed by bonding them permanently to the front of the teeth. We use E4D to make the veneer in the office. The quality is better and the color can fine tuned to match with your current teeth color.
Porcelain veneers can be use to take care of:
- Close gaps in the front teeth.
- Teeth that are too small or large in proportion to rest of the mouth.
- Crooked, chipped or worn teeth.
- Cover teeth that are discolored, poorly shaped or slightly discolored.
- It can look incredibly natural if done right, almost undetectable.
- They're durable and long lasting when compared to other cosmetic treatments.
- Stain resistant. Porcelains are ceramics, which have glass-like properties, that will not pick up permanent stains.
- Requires a tiny bit shaving of the tooth, usually just 1-2 mm. This doesn't damage or decrease the tooth's vitality.
- Although they're highly durable, they don't last forever. But with our clinic, we guarantee it for 5 years.
Our 5 year warranty
Our 5 year warranty would take care of any problems that you may have with the veneers you have done with us. The only requirement is that you maintain a schedule of regular (every 6 months) cleanings/bitewings at our office, so we can insure your underlying dental health.
Will Porcelain Veneers Look Natural?
Veneers look very natural, more than any other dentistry restoration. They could easily be mistaken for natural teeth. The porcelain reflects light just like a real tooth. In some ways, veneers are even better than natural enamel.
Porcelain will not stain or wear like natural teeth. With proper maintenance, your new smile will look just as bright as it did the day the veneers were added. The best part is that dental veneers require little or no tooth preparation. They look like natural teeth and won’t weaken your natural tooth structure.
What is Involved in Getting Porcelain Veneers?
Your teeth are prepped and impressions are taken. Temporary veneers are placed until your custom veneers return from the lab (approximately two weeks). The custom veneers are then bonded to your tooth. As long as you maintain your oral health as instructed by our dentist sand hygienists, veneers are guaranteed for five full years from the date of insertion.
Usually, the preparation of a porcelain laminate veneer does not require the use of a local anesthetic. However, for patients that are particularly sensitive or anxious, a local anesthetic is advisable.
You can expect some sensitivity to hot and cold however, this tooth sensitivity should disappear a few days after the placement of the veneers.
You will be asked to schedule another dental appointment about one week after the placement of the veneers for a treatment checkup. Your dentist will evaluate the placement of the veneers, the gum tissue response and to answer any questions you might have regarding your new smile.
Can I Treat Them Like Regular Teeth?
Once placed, your veneers are very strong and will resist most of the forces placed upon them by a normal diet. However, porcelain veneers do need sometimes require special care. They aren't recommended for people who grind their teeth or suffer from severe bite problems. For those who do, a bite guard may be necessary to minimize the wear on your teeth.
